Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released its global university rankings for the year, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has emerged on top of the rankings for the 12th year in a row.

The National University of Singapore (NUS) has created history by becoming the first Asian university to feature in the top 10 global QS rankings.
The University of California (UCB) is the only institution to have earned a perfect score of 100 in the new ‘Sustainability’ indicator.
Meanwhile, in India, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has emerged as the best institute in India after Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore lost its top spot. IISc Bangalore is now ranked 225th globally, down from last year’s rank of 155th. IIT Bombay is now ranked first in the country and 149th globally, up from 172nd last year.
IIT Delhi moved up to 197th position this year. It was ranked 174 in the previous ranking. However, IISc’s fall from first to third position has helped IIT Delhi to come third in the country.

In its official statement, QS has said, “The Indian Institute of Science (225th) has experienced a lower rank in the reset methodology, partly due to the revised weightage given to its faculty-to-student ratio, which reflects its strengths. is one of the. This version gives 50% less importance to this indicator. Additionally, the introduction of three new indicators serve as growth areas for this prestigious institute. India can now be proud to have two more entries in the top 500 universities of the world, with Delhi University (ranked 407) and Anna University (ranked 427) making their debut at this level.
