Former Tottenham Hotspur footballer, Dele Alli has opened up about his life on Gary Neville’s Overlap podcast. The interview has left many fans stunned, while some others have been given strength after the England international revealed that he was sexually abused as a child.
During the 2015–16 season, Alli was rated as one of the rising number 10 players in world football, who would surely end his career on top with several prestigious titles. Alli played in the Premier League with Spurs and he also played in the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final under coach Pochettino.

“It is not something that I have said so much but there were some incidents which give you an understanding. At the age of six, my mother’s friend, who was also at home, molested me; My mother was an alcoholic. That happened at six o’clock. I was sent to Africa to learn discipline and then sent back. Seventh, I started smoking; Eighth, I started doing drugs. An older man told me they wouldn’t stop a kid on a bike, so I rode around with my football, and then I put drugs under it – that was eight.”
