Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust has gone live with MeditechExpense, a full-scale, intuitive and interoperable electronic patient record (EPR).
EPR’s cloud-based systems deliver better results and enable treatment across all care settings. Expanse Mobile provides customizable solutions that boost usability and improve efficiency for employees.
Meditech Expenditure has migrated to EPR, 27 years after it first went live with Trust Meditech Magic.
Matt Connor, Chief Operating Officer, Liverpool Women’s Hospital, said: “Our EPR program known as DigiCare has implemented Meditech Expense EPR, which is another major milestone on Liverpool Women’s digital journey. Meditech Expense will bring many benefits to our staff, patient care and overall experience.
“The system is built directly in line with the processes and procedures of our trust. In-depth research and engagement with each department within the Trust has been undertaken to ensure that all current and future processes are mapped out.
He added: “We are in the early days of implementation and are working with the teams to make sure we get this right now and for the future.
“Thanks to our talented digital team, Trust staff, Meditech and other partners including Cerecor, a lot of hard work has been done to transform Meditech expense through the DigiCare program. Our digital journey now continues and will only get stronger as we introduce new and better features,
Consultancy firm Cercor played a key role in the collaboration process and helped roll out the EPR in the trust. “What started as an effort to assist in the construction phase also turned into helping them go live,” said Daniel Ayer, vice president of business development at Cerrecor.
Meditech confirmed the news on LinkedIn:
Going live is a significant milestone for Meditech, which also provides the EPR at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
“A leader in healthcare for women, babies and families, Liverpool Women’s Hospital is committed to leveraging innovative technology to deliver the best outcomes and patient experience possible,” said Charlotte Scott, Acting General Manager of Meditech UK & Ireland.
“As the first site in the United Kingdom to go live on Meditech Expense, they are making the future of care a reality by deploying a contemporary, web based, mobile EPR that will enhance quality, safety and efficiency.
“We congratulate the Liverpool Ladies and are excited to continue our long-standing and collaborative relationship in this next phase of their digital journey.”
