Jamie Foxx is doing well. Two months after the mysterious medical emergency, the actor finally picked up the phone, as his co-star John Boyega confirmed Tuesday. The actor will next be seen in the upcoming Netflix film, The Cloned Tyrone. At the film’s Hollywood premiere, Boyega gave a major update on Ray Starr’s health that caused fans to heave a sigh of relief.
John Boyega reveals that Jamie Foxx picked up his phone
John Boyega was asked about the health of his co-star Jamie Foxx during the Hollywood premiere of the movie The Cloned Tyrone on Tuesday. Revealing to People magazine, the actor said, “He finally picked up the phone. Thank you bro. He is doing well.
Without divulging much about Fox’s health, Boyega said he hasn’t spoken to Jamie much because he respects her privacy. He also added that he is extremely excited for the actor’s early comeback. Addressing Jamie Foxx, Boyega said he sent him well wishes and said, “Take your time, Jamie. We love you, brother.”
On the other hand, Datari Turner, who co-produced The Cloned Tyrone with Jamie Foxx, revealed that the actor is recovering fast and will soon return to acting. Reassuring the magazine, Turner said, “He’s doing an amazing job. I promise you. Doing really, really well.”
The film’s director, Juel Taylor, also spoke to Fox, telling them that the actor was in “good shape and spirits”.
Jamie Foxx’s health problems
Earlier this year, Jamie Foxx was rushed to the hospital from the sets of his upcoming action-comedy ‘Back in Action’ in April. His daughter Corinne Fox informed fans that the actor was experiencing medical complications, but after a few weeks, she added that he was “recovering.”
Later, Jamie Foxx also took to his Instagram to express his gratitude towards his fans. Since then he has not spoken to anyone but in these two months there were reports about his health from his co-stars.
Meanwhile, the actor will be seen in the upcoming The Cloned Tyrone alongside John Boyega. This film will be released on 21 July.
