Preparing for the series decider against West Indies in Trinidad, Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma and batting great Virat Kohli took a moment to greet the passionate fans who are supporting Team India during their tour of the Caribbean. Both expressed their gratitude to the loyalists of Team India, who have been a constant source of encouragement.
In the first Test of the ongoing two-match series in Dominica, Rohit Sharma displayed his extraordinary talent by scoring his 10th Test century. Former captain Kohli also played a key role and played a brilliant inning of 76 runs to give the visiting team a resounding victory. With a 1-0 lead in the series, Rohit and his team reached Port of Spain for the much-anticipated second Test against the West Indies.
Days before the start of the second Test, Indian cricketers took time out to interact with fans, sign autographs and take selfies in Trinidad. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a heart-warming video capturing the moments when Kohli graciously posed for photographs and signed autographs, much to the delight of the fans.
This gesture from the Indian captain was well received by the supporters and received widespread praise. Not only Kohli but other Indian players including head coach Rahul Dravid and veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja were also seen interacting with the passionate Indian fans present at the venue.

In addition, before the match, Rohit Sharma and his teammates had the opportunity to meet legendary West Indies cricketer Brian Lara, fondly known as “The Prince of Port of Spain”. Kohli bumped into Lara on his way to the changing room, while Rohit had a brief chat with the cricket icon at the match venue.

The camaraderie shared between the Indian players and their fans, as well as the moments exchanged with cricketing legends such as Brian Lara, demonstrated the unity and mutual respect within the cricket community. As Team India gears up for the all-important 2nd Test, the support and encouragement from fans from afar has acted as a motivating factor, giving them the confidence to give their best and win the series decider against the West Indies. His resolve became stronger.
