During a recent interview, she discussed her diagnosis of type 1 diabetes at the age of 17 and her significant weight loss as a result of the condition.
Type 1 diabetes is a long-term medical condition characterized by insufficient or absent production of insulin in the pancreas. Insulin is a hormone needed by the body to enable cells to take up sugar (glucose), which is needed for energy production.

Various factors, including genetics and certain viruses, may contribute to the development of type 1 diabetes. Although it usually appears during childhood or adolescence, it can also occur in adults.
In his account, he explained that at the age of 17, his body experienced an autoimmune response following a high fever. As a result, he rapidly lost around 10 kg of weight within eight days.

He further explained that, along with the weight loss, he also experienced a sharp increase in thirst. He called this symptom polyuria, a condition characterized by a frequent urge to urinate due to frequent visits to the bathroom and excessive water intake.
He openly shared that he has been dependent on insulin since the age of 17 to effectively manage his diabetes. He recently turned 41, revealed that he has been battling the condition for a long period of 24 years.
