The cast of James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy has finally been revealed. David Korenshwat and Rachel Brosnahan have been cast to play Clark Kent and Lois Lane, after a search generated a lot of buzz.
Over the past few weeks, several names have cropped up in the rounds of speculation about the new Superman, including Nicholas Hoult and Tom Britney. As per the latest reports, David Korenswet who is known for Look Both Ways and Pearl will play the role of Clark Kent. Meanwhile, Marvelous Miss Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan will play Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane.
Gunn confirmed the news through his Twitter handle. He wrote, “Exactly! (They both are not only incredible actors but amazing people too).”
DC Studios is set to introduce a new DC universe led by James Gunn and Peter Safran. Henry Cavill has been a fan favorite Superman with several successful DCEU movies so far. His last appearance as a superhero was a cameo in Black Adam.
The studio is considering a change of strategy after a string of disappointing films including Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods and latest outing, The Flash.
