Samantha Ruth Prabhu chops off her long hair, flaunts new look while holidaying with friend

Mumbai: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has said goodbye to her long hair. On Sunday, the ‘Family Man’ actress surprised fans with her new short hair look on Instagram. She has shared a video in which she is seen showing her haircut. While sharing the video, Samantha has tagged her hairdresser.
Samantha’s haircut got a lot of praise.

“You look beautiful in short hair,” commented a social media user.

Taking a break from acting, Samantha is currently focusing on her health. She is battling with an auto-immune condition myositis.

Recently, Samantha’s hairstylist and close friend Rohit Bhatkar confirmed their break through an emotional Instagram post. He wrote, “2 years, 1 sensational music video, 3 films, 7 brand campaigns, 2 editorials and memories of a lifetime. We saw everything from sunny days to rainy days, from tears of joy and laughter to tears of pain and anguish. From confident to vulnerable, from our highs to our lows and back again. What a beautiful journey it has been with you. Definitely, worth remembering.”

He continued, “As you now embark on a healing journey, I wish you more strength and power. And that you uncover some dimension of your being that you have never seen until now. Above and beyond. A big hug to Sam and lots of love! Remember ‘you are the wildflower that grew after the wildfire.’ Know that we will all be waiting for you to come back stronger than ever. Until next time mate.”

Last year, Samantha revealed that she was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called ‘myositis’. She posted on social media, “A few months ago I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called myositis. I was hoping to share this after I’ve recovered. But it’s taking a little longer than I expected.”

She further added, “I’m slowly realizing that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this weakness is something I still struggle with. The doctors are confident that I’ll make a full recovery soon. I’ve had good and bad days… physically and emotionally… and even when it seems like I can’t handle another day of it, somehow that moment passes. According to the National Health Service UK (NHS), myositis is the name for a group of rare conditions that cause weak, painful and sore muscles. Moreover, this condition tends to worsen over time. There are generally three types of myositis: polymyositis, dermatomyositis, and inclusion body myositis (IBM).
