NUH adopts AI triage tool to treat stroke faster
The National University Hospital in Singapore is using an AI-powered triage tool to quickly identify stroke patients in need of endovascular treatment.
The hospital, which sees more than 1,000 ischemic stroke patients each year, has set a goal of at least half of those patients receiving appropriate treatment within an hour of arrival.
To meet its goal, NUH adopted RapidAI, which processes brain CT scans in less than a minute. Since adopting the technology in February, more than 400 stroke treatments have been performed at the hospital.
HMI Group enters digital health with MHC acquisition
Health Management International, a regional healthcare provider in Southeast Asia, recently acquired Singaporean health tech company MHC Asia Group.
The acquisition will allow HMI to tap into Southeast Asia’s growing digital health market, which is estimated to be worth around $11 billion by 2027.
The combined entities now serve three million patients each year across a range of digital and physical services, ranging from telemedicine, diagnostics and health screenings to primary, specialist, ambulatory and in-patient care.

National Hospital Indonesia secures mobile app, patient data with appsealing
National Hospital Indonesia recently deployed a security solution to protect its mobile apps and patient data.

Dozee introduces RPM technology to a group of nurses
Dozee has tied up with the Nurse Executive Association, a national organization of nurse leaders in India, to help them adopt emerging technologies including remote patient monitoring.
The partnership comes as the 500-member association highlights the need for nurses to be introduced to new technologies to empower them to provide quality patient care.
Dozee has so far trained over 5,000 Indian nurses to use RPM enhanced with AI as part of its mission to transform healthcare delivery.
India’s health ministry unveils health education platform
The Union Health Ministry of India has launched a new healthcare education platform.
The learning management information system called Saksham (Promoting Advanced Knowledge for Sustainable Health Management) provides online training and medical education to health professionals across the country.
The platform currently offers over 200 public health and 100 clinical courses.
