Onir upset with Karan Johar’s jibe at big clash in Bollywood; ‘They rob small budget indie films of the show’

Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi have announced the release date of their film. merry christmasDharma chief Karan Johar seems to be quite upset over the box office clash with his film Yoddha. Both the films are slated to release in December this year and feature some of the biggest stars of the industry.

Karan Johar took to his Threads account to speak his mind about the big release clash, taking a dig at the notion of ‘we are family’ in the Hindi film industry. Responding to the same, filmmaker Onir took to his Twitter to point out the hypocrisy in Karan Johar’s statement.

He wrote, “Big Bollywood releases get upset when there is another big budget release on the same day and they talk about how we all in the industry should take care of each other, but when they If you deprive the small budget then do not think even for a moment. Indie film of a small number of good shows to survive.

Karan Johar wrote, “Going on a date without a phone call is not the way forward for studios and producers…” Calling us a fraternity if we don’t stand united in these difficult and challenging theatrical days It is futile. Many people seemed to support Onir in this matter as they laughed at the hypocrisy.
