‘Never mess with Kohli’: Naveen-ul-Haq trolled after conceding 19 runs in an over vs MI

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Naveen-ul-Haq was brutally trolled on Twitter after conceding 19 runs in an over on Tuesday, almost losing the crucial game against Mumbai Indians at the Ekana Stadium. MI’s power-hitter Tim David hit two sixes to take him very close to the winning mark. However, courtesy a brilliant last over from Mohsin Khan, LSG won and secured the all-important two points. Needing 30 runs from 12 balls to win, Naveen was given the responsibility to bowl the last over of the chase but everything went wrong for the Afghanistan-born bowler.

Naveen looted 19 runs in the crucial over

David was looking for the right length to open his arms and Naveen provided the same. The first ball was a dot as Naveen bowled an off-side yorker. The second ball was slower and sent into the hands of an alert David, who spotted it early. The third ball brought two runs for David. The fourth was bowled twice as the first attempt went for four byes and was also a no-ball. The fifth ball was short but David hit another six off the last ball to bring the target down to 11 off the last 6 balls.

Naveen trolled on Twitter

Some Virat Kohli fans loved every moment of the 19th over in the second innings of the LSG vs MI contest in which Naveen conceded 19 runs. Kohli and Naveen’s on-field spat spilled over to social media, where both continued to take veiled jibes at each other. Kohli’s fans present in the stadium were chanting ‘Kohli-Kohli’ every time Naveen bowled. After Naveen’s 19-run over, the LSG pacer was trolled on Twitter as fans said that the Afghan pacer had finally learned his lesson. see below.

Puran names Naveen ‘Mango Guy’

A few days back, LSG batsman Nicholas Pooran had named Naveen as “The Mango Guy”. She uploaded a video with Naveen on Instagram and wrote: “Sweet mangoes for everyone tonight.” Naveen took a veiled dig at Kohli by posting a photo of him enjoying ‘sweet mangoes’ while RCB was losing an IPL match. This was seen as a potshot taken by Naveen at Kohli’s team RCB after their onfield spat.
