Shubman Gill has emerged as one of the finest cricketers in the country and his impressive form continued in Gujarat Titans’ last home game of IPL 2023, where he scored a century against Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, there was also an instance when mentor Ashish Nehra lost his temper as he did not clap for the young Indian batsman after he completed his maiden century in the cash-rich league.
Ashish Nehra has always been known to be a calm and composed person; However, he was seen angry with his team Gujarat Titans even though the Hardik Pandya-led side performed well to secure a 34-run win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The defending champions played well in the match but the way they struggled in the latter part of their first innings. Gill and Sai Suharsan put on a 147-run first wicket stand that helped them post 188 runs on the board.

In reply Sunrisers Hyderabad struggled on a difficult pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and lost 7 batsmen for 59 runs; However, Heinrich Klaasen didn’t give up as he smashed a 44-ball 64 to take the Aiden Markam-led side to 154/9. The 2016 champion team could not win the match but his comeback has left Ahshish Nehra upset with his team Gujarat Titans.

Nehra and Hardik Pandya had a heated exchange after the first innings when the Gujarat Titans coach criticized the batsmen for playing unnecessary shots and giving away easy wickets. However, the franchise director then had to come and pacify the skipper.
