NHS organization The Health Informatics Service (THIS) is set to transform healthcare security following the deployment of LogRhythm Axon, a 100% cloud-native security and operations platform.
The partnership marks LogRhythm’s first Axon customer in Europe, while it will benefit from an easy to navigate and cost-effective cloud-native SaaS platform. The simple platform helps reduce costs and provide solutions for security teams to identify threats.
Peter Howson, Commercial Director of THIS, said: “We were looking for a cost-effective security solution to support Bradford District and Craven without the operational complications. With this in mind, we chose the Axon for its affordability and ease of use.
“Logarithm Axon takes care of the threat detection so we can focus on what matters most – providing our customers with a consistent and reliable experience.”
Axon’s intuitive interface provides analysts with contextual analysis into cyber security threats to help them quickly secure their environments. It aims to provide a seamless security experience by reducing the burden of managing threats and operating the infrastructure.
Kev Ely, VP Sales UK and Europe at Logarithm, said: “The threat landscape in Europe is currently rapidly evolving, with more organizations hitting the headlines after falling victim to sophisticated attacks. Among these organizations, the healthcare industry is one of the biggest targets for threat actors due to the highly confidential patient data it is responsible for.
“By deploying LogRhythm Axon, it gains a user-friendly security solution. This is the beginning of Exxon’s presence in Europe. We look forward to helping organizations address growing security pressures with powerful security analytics.”
The last few months alone have seen healthcare organizations becoming targets of cyber threats. In June the Health Services Ireland (HSE) MOVEit supply chain became the victim of a cyber attack.
Then this month the name of Barts Health NHS Trust appeared on a dark web victim blog of ransomware gang Blackcat, which claimed to have stolen more than seven TB of sensitive data.
It will serve one of its key customers in Bradford District and Craven Place with the platform.
