The Pakistan Cricket Board has revealed the schedule of the prestigious tournament starting on 30th August. On the cricket field, arch-rivals India and Pakistan are gearing up for a high-octane clash on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. There will be a total of 13 matches in the tournament. Pakistan is placed in Group A along with India and Nepal, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in Group B. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage. From there the two best teams will compete in the final. This edition of the Asia Cup will be played in the 50-over format and will serve as preparation for five of the six teams (except Nepal) ahead of the upcoming ODI World Cup, starting on October 5 in India.
