Anushka Sharma’s bodyguard fined Rs 10,500 for riding bike without helmet

Mumbai: Days after pictures of Anushka Sharma and her bodyguard not wearing a helmet for a bike ride went viral, the Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a challan against Anushka Sharma’s bodyguard Sonu Sheikh for riding without a helmet and driving without a license. 10,500 as fine.

Soon after the pictures went viral, several netizens objected to it and approached the Mumbai Police to take action against them. On Wednesday, the Mumbai Traffic Police tweeted pictures of the complaint and wrote, “The driver has been issued a challan under section 129/194(d), section 5/180 and section 3(1) 181 MV Act along with a fine of Rs. A fine has also been imposed.” 10500 and paid by the offender.”

After these pictures went viral on social media, Twitter users reached out to the Mumbai Police to take action against the stars. Responding to some of them, the Mumbai Police tweeted, “We have shared this with the traffic branch.”

Apart from Anushka Sharma, Amitabh Bachchan was also criticized for not wearing a helmet. However, Amitabh has given the real reason behind this in his blog. He wrote, “aahhhhhhhh… impotence of material.. a lot has been made out of the pic of the bike..! how are you moving on the road with a stranger.. no security..? the attention you love keep..?and then..no helmet..!!!!!!the thing is this is for shooting on mumbai road..it is sunday..took formal permission to shoot in a lane of ballard estate ..permission sought for sunday as all offices are closed and no public or traffic ..one lane is closed in the area for shooting with permission from police ..the lane is barely 30-40 meters ..i The dress I am wearing is my dress for the film. (sic)”

He further added, “And..I am just fooling around by riding a crew member’s bike..not even going anywhere but giving the impression that I traveled to save time Is..(sic)” Big B even said. that he would have actually done so if he had actually been stuck in traffic. He further wrote, “But yes I would have done it if there was a problem with punctuality..and wore helmet and followed all the rules and regulations of traffic guide line..I am not the only one to do this..saw the time at the location To reach but Akshay Kumar does this.. wore helmet etc on his security guard’s bike.. didn’t get any recognition.. and it was fast and efficient.. and it worked well..(sic)”
