Dear reader,
I have some fun news at the bottom of this letter, so please read to the end. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and it’s happening this month.
First, though, I need to address this month’s difficult Full Moon Eclipse in Scorpio on May 5th at 15 degrees. I detail in your personalized report which areas of your life can be affected. Not everyone notices every eclipse that falls within a particular series (like the Taurus-Scorpio series we’re feeling right now). Whether you will feel it or not depends on the degree of eclipse—it all comes down to math.
This particular eclipse will be similar to last year’s total lunar eclipse on November 8, 2022, which was also a total lunar eclipse but in the sign of Taurus (the opposite sign of Scorpio, which is on the same axis) and within one degree of this month. Of eclipse. If you can remember what happened last year, you may be able to pick a topic.
Keep in mind that nothing is repeated in astrology because the planets, the Sun and the Moon are constantly changing positions. Looking back, you may be able to pick out an overall category or weak spot that the universe wants you to know.
Trying to predict what exactly an eclipse will bring is futile. The nature of eclipses is to keep you on your toes and show you how important it is to accept truth when it is presented to you. This is especially true at a time when the May 5 Full Moon eclipses Uranus (the planet of surprise and shock). This will alert you to any weak links, and will be related to a theme ruled by the house where the eclipse falls in your chart. This would point to something you are not seeing.
If you’ve been focusing on a certain situation that you know has to change, but haven’t done anything about it because you feel overwhelmed by its complexity and too frozen to take action, then eclipses are for you. He will do what you could not do for yourself. Eclipse is on a mission to generate results and get you moving. The entire universe always moves towards power.
If we can’t predict what an eclipse will bring, especially an eclipse like this, then what good is astrology, you might ask. I can ask you to keep your schedule light. I can also tell you not to stir up the hornet’s nest – wait for a calmer time if you have a sensitive matter with someone. If you have to discuss the matter, wait until late May, not early May. Astrology can help you with the timing of when to act (or not act).
I have written a detailed article that I think you will like titled “How to deal with Eclipse”. It took several years to write this, as I saw how Eclipse was working I added more information to the article. Many readers have already found it helpful as it explains the unique nature of eclipses.
This article is on my app called “Astrology Zone Horoscope” – You will need the premium subscriber version ($4.99 per month, about $1.00 per week) found on the Apple App Store or Google Play. If you have my app, go to Menu, then Life, Love & More, then Susan’s essay. You’ll see “How to deal with Eclipse” there. Many readers have found this helpful, especially because I have numbered every tip. My essay is also on my website, so you can click here to read it.
Now what am I alluding to at the top of this letter.
I’m doing live events again, and I’d like to do them in as many cities around the world so I can meet you. I think it is safe to meet in groups now. I recently created an event for Mother’s Day at the Metrograph in New York City on the Lower East Side of Manhattan to celebrate moms. come to the movies Joy Luck Club, and then order brunch in this lovely intimate little spot reserved just for us. Metrograph states on their website that you are free to wear a mask if you wish. This is optional.
After the movie I’ll be discussing the characters and motherhood in general with the help of my daughter, Chrissy Miller, who will be in moderation. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.
Chrissy was highlighted in the current issue of New York Magazine as the New York “It Girl” this week (issue April 27 to May 3). She loves the Metrograph and introduced me to something that has become a New York institution.
Our program will be:

The film would be an award winning 1993 Joy Luck Club (2½ hours) About four immigrant mothers living in San Francisco. You can check out the full details of the plot on IMDB (imdb.com, I remember reading and loving Amy Tan’s best selling book – it won multiple awards. Chrissy will moderate a conversation to discuss the film. I will discuss the characters in the film from an astrological perspective and also describe the different styles of motherhood by sign. You can talk with Chrissy and me as you drink your last cup of coffee.
