Controversial Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri shares his thoughts on AI and its implications for creative jobs. In his tweet, the director of Kashmir Files writes that it is almost impossible, as the client cannot write an accurate brief. Vivek comments that AI cannot impact jobs like copywriters, fashion designers, interior designers and changing the whole gamut.
Vivek further quips that the customers can never give the correct information as it turns up all the weird times, confusing the AI. Is it too early to judge whether AI is keeping up with the constant changes? He does not have a human mind so to speak, and thus is not as stressed or burned out as sapiens.
However, if you look at the plethora of apps and tools under development such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, etc., AI will be a significant loss for the pre-production industry that relies on some of the most creative artists around the world. While artistes are rallying against the use of AI generated content for films, there are producers and filmmakers who do not agree with the artistes at all. Some creatives reflect a different line entirely. They believe in blending the best of both worlds and keeping up with the evolving technologies. However, his arguments fell flat in the face of AI-generated content. This is plagiarism of the highest order and unfortunately there are no rules anywhere in the world to stop it. However, Vivek Agnihotri’s idea is not without merit. Here’s why – turn on 5 PCs and inspire ChatGPT to write quirky copy for a fictional brand. You’ll only find run-of-the-mill blend copies that are virtually identical. The copywriters are safe (for now). Futurists argue that there will be a generation of purists who will prefer materials with only human touch. Having said that, automation in many jobs will take place in the capitalist zeitgeist.

Meanwhile, there have been some reactions to Agnihotri’s tweet
This is the beauty of AI. You don’t need to be perfect, but it will apply logically and provide an intelligent response. This is something that if turned rogue can be disastrous sir.
